According to Bustle, if you own the limited edition copies of Disney films on video, you could find yourself buyers who would be willing to pay hundreds and even thousands online. And that's not all. There is also an edition of The Little Mermaid which is on offer along with a 'buy it now' price of £7,909. And to make it more alluring, the owner revealed that it is a unique first edition version with discontinued cover. Now imagine owning a cupboard full of videotapes, so don't forget to thank your lucky stars!

But what are the top-selling Disney VHS tapes you might ask?  Don't worry we have all the details here. According to Marie Claire, some of the most expensive Disney tapes include The Fox and The Hound, The Rescuers, Cinderella, Bambi, Beauty and The Beast, Aladdin, Lady and The Tram, 101 Dalmatians, The Great Mouse Detective, and The Rescuers Down Under.

There is also a 1992 edition of Beauty and The Beast which is sold for £3123.08 ($3,957). According to the description on the collection, it explains that the cases are 'decent with some minor cracking and yellow from age'. It also adds: "Pre-owned with signs of use but overall a great set."

Now you must be wondering if the collection you have can be sold for thousands of dollars as well. For that, you need to check whether they have the special edition 'Classics' logo. This is usually found in the upper spine of the case, which will also have a black diamond around the outside.

Ever since people got to know that these old collections could fetch you a fortune, they have been going crazy with some suggesting they need to go through their attic all over again. While there were others who were clearly regretting selling it off or dragging loads of that stuff down to the charity shops.

So what are you waiting for? Time to run to the old stock of childhood stuff you have, and scrummage through it. You never know, you might just be sitting on a gold mine!
