Widows, 100 And 102, Get Married After A Year Of Dating And It's The Sweetest Love Story Ever

This is the story of a newly-married couple John and Phyllis Cook, now celebrating their new lives together at their Ohio senior living facility.

Love knows no bounds. It is true that it is one of the most amazing feelings one could ever experience in their lifetime. Sure everybody falls in love at a certain age -- maybe high school, or even college. Basically long story short, you could meet the love of your life anytime even when you are over 100 years old. Too good to be true yeah?

Well, here's the story of a 100-year-man who is madly in love with a woman about to turn 103 soon. And that's not all -- they have also decided to be with each other for a long time-- because why not? As reported by CNN.

This is the story of the newly married couple John and Phyllis Cook, now celebrating their new lives together at their Ohio senior living facility. "It wasn't the plan, but we got here and they said, 'we could marry you here.' I said 'good, let's get it over with,' " John was quoted as saying by CNN affiliate WNWO.

It wasn't a decision that they just made up on the spot-- the star couple had been dating for over a year.  "To tell you the truth, we fell in love with each other. I know you think that may be a little bit farfetched for somebody our age, but we fell in love with each other," Phyllis Cook told the media outlet.

John is a World War II veteran who recently turned 100 while Phyllis who hails from West Virginia, turns 103 on August 8. Interestingly, she will be only three years shy from turning out how old her mother lived to be. Both of them had been married twice in the past but they now consider themselves to be lucky for falling in love a third time.

So you must be wondering how do they spend their time together? Well, the Cooks enjoy each other's company in the assisted living facility, while munching over meals or just sitting out in the sun and relaxing. But they also value each other's space, which is important for every relationship.

Phyllis said, “What we do, we keep both of our apartments. He’s upstairs and I’m down.” Meanwhile, when John was asked by WWLP regarding what he enjoys the most doing with Phyllis, he replied: “Well, I probably shouldn’t talk about that.”

The couple has now gone viral on social media with everyone absolutely adoring the duo. Many even took to social media platforms to express their excitement over the couple's wonderful love story.

A Facebook user named Annette Malangone-Antico Wishing said: "You two kids the love of a lifetime. It's never too late, and you two don't look a day over 99. God bless your happiness." Meanwhile another user, Nicole Berman-Fisher wrote: "This is what makes my heart melt. Congratulations and best wishes for a beautiful life together for many, many years to come"

Here's to wishing this wonderful couple many more years of fun, love, and happiness. To the Cooks!
