A ruthless man truly learned to let sleeping dogs lie when a pup he kicked came back later with friends to trash his car.
Have you ever heard the saying "let sleeping dogs lie"? Well, as one man in China discovered, the saying exists for a reason. A Chongqing man got his just desserts when he literally kicked a dog that he found blocking his usual parking spot near his home.
The dog, however, would not take this easily, and soon returned with a pack of friends to wreak havoc on the offending car. We can't make this stuff up. Plus, there's video evidence.
The pack of dogs reportedly chewed on the attacker's windshield wipers and bodywork, leaving sizeable marks. The vandalism was reportedly photographed by a startled neighbor, who showed the driver the next morning that all the damage to his car was caused by a pack of angry hounds.
Karma is a bitch, and so is this dog. Well, maybe not literally. Reports have not clarified the sex of the dog in question.
The smart pack even had a lookout to ensure that they wouldn't get caught. According to The Dodo, the incident was highlighted by China Central Television. The photos from the scene show at least three dogs methodically inflicting a bunch of damage on the offending human's jaws.
The vengeance-seeking vigilante dogs can be seen leaving bite marks in the vehicle's hood and body panel - that's going to take a while and some money to get fixed!
According to The Daily Mail, China does not have much in the way of animal cruelty laws, and a person who harms a dog or another animal can only be prosecuted for damaging property if the animal belongs to somebody. Stray dogs in China are sometimes grabbed off the street and thrown into dog fights.
That being said, response to the incident on Chinese social media has been largely appreciative of the vigilante dogs' actions. "Dogs have feelings too," wrote one commenter on CCTV's Facebook post, according to The Dodo. "And revenge in many ways is one of thier [sic] way of getting back at you went [sic] you treat them bad."
Other commenters around the world also believe that the dogs deserve praise rather than brickbats. When all's said and done, we hope the car-owner learned a valuable lesson about not being mean to animals! His car definitely won't forget it.
