Harry Potter Fans Can Now Stay At Hagrid's Cottage For The Holidays At Just $1

Head on over to a quaint guest house called Grounds Keeper’s Cottage in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, England

Are yer ready for this? Calling all wizards and witches and muggles too (no discrimination here)! Craving rock cakes and creatures from The Monster Book of Monsters? Well, here's something close for all you Hagrid fans. If you've always fancied a visit to Hogwarts and stay at Hagrid's little hut, check out North Shire this Christmas. A farm in the town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, England, is home to a charming guest house called Grounds Keeper’s Cottage, according to People. The stone house is almost identical to Hagrid's cottage in the Harry Potter Series.

The whole cottage is done up to look like the cottage of Rubeus Hagrid, Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts. The website reads: The cottage is configured as three interlocking circular rooms, with squat, medieval-looking turrets and mismatched stained-glass windows as a nod to the gothic demeanour of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Its stooped doorway is lit by lanterns and the cottage is surrounded by fields that lead to views of the Yorkshire coast. Guests can even bring their own Fang, as the cottage is dog-friendly.

While a night at this charming house would set you back at $364.38, here's your chance to stay there at just $1! How, you ask? The farm is hosting a competition where one can enter to win a week-long stay in the replica over the Christmas holidays. All you have to do is pay the $1 entry fee and enter the world of magic. First prize lets you won a seven-night stay in the home from December 22 to 29, 2019. This comes along with wizard-worthy features as well, like a stuffed Christmas hamper, a visit from a snowy owl (like Hedwig), a train ride at the Harry Potter Station in a nearby town, presents delivered by Santa and a meet-and-greet with the local “Harry Potter” over tea. Second prize gets you a three-night stay in the hut, while a third-place winner will be awarded two nights in a different guest house on the farm, called Shire House. The contest will run through October 31.
