The character Brian O'Conner was given a send-off in 'Fast and the Furious 7' where his brothers Cody and Caleb Walker filmed his final scenes with the help of CGI.
It might seem like a Christmas miracle but there are talks surrounding late actor Paul Walker's character making a comeback in the ninth installment of the 'Fast and Furious' franchise.
In 2013, Walker passed away in a very tragic car accident and he was only 40 at the time of his death. His character Brian O' Conner was given a send-off in the 'Fast and the Furious 7' where his brothers Cody and Caleb Walker had filmed his final scenes with the help of CGI.
It’s an official #F9 Wrap! This is by far the most ambitious film of the series and I am forever grateful to our amazing crew from London, Edinburgh, Tbilisi (Georgia), Phuket & Krabi (Thailand), and Los Angeles. pic.twitter.com/ggFGxwHuz7— Justin Lin (@justinlin) November 11, 2019
Now, recently it has been reported that Walker's character Brian will return for the upcoming 'Fast and Furious 9' movie. Daniel Richtman from Film Insider took to Twitter and teased saying, "Just got a new casting grid for something and with it some big news that are sure to be controversial. Not sure how I feel about it myself but we'll see."
It's been long enough. They are bringing back Paul Walker's character, Brian, to FF9. https://t.co/320dprmC1S— Daniel Richtman (@DanielRPK) November 14, 2019
He followed up his tweet, saying, "It's been long enough. They are bringing back Paul Walker's character, Brian to FF9."

But, this information has not been verified or officially confirmed yet and the fans and followers of the movie franchise are not very happy.
One of the fans took to social media and wrote, "I’m not a fan of the FF movies but still this is a big no from me". Another one added, "No, Paul’s character Brian had a beautiful sendoff that doesn’t need to be used to gain more money from. It gave us a sense of closure and finality to his and Jordana’s respective characters"
Unpopular Opinion but bringing Paul Walker back for the new Fast and the Furious is absolutely ridiculous. He had an incredible sending away with the final montage and to bring him back just seems like a money grab.— Domesticmango (@DomesticMango) November 15, 2019

A number of other fans also felt apprehensive since the send-off of Walker in the seventh installment of the movie was absolutely beautiful and adding anything on to it is just going to distort that memory.
In a separate interview with Metro, Paul Walker's brother Cody had shared, saying, "You know there’s a lot of things that are said about the franchise, there’s a lot of rumors going around. I think anything is possible and we’ll see what the future has in store. There are a lot of things that are said out there".
