'Ripley's Believe It Or Not!' Is Coming Back With Bruce Campbell, And The First TEASER Is Here

The Ripley's brand is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and it is just a mere testament to how long it has entertained viewers over the years.

"Ripley's Believe It or Not! has truly been one of the most iconic TV shows ever. We are sure our minds have been blown watching the series all these years and now there is a new update. The show is getting a major reboot and it is hosted by none other than horror icon Bruce Campbell from the original Evil Dead movies, replacing Dean Cain.

“Ripley’s Believe It or Not!” will premiere on Sunday, June 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Not only is Bruce Campbell hosting the show, but he is also the executive producer. The hour-long series will contain 10-episodes and is inspired by Robert Ripley’s obsession for the bizarre and unusual stories from across the globe. 

Ever since the news broke out, we have been screaming for the show to hit Travel Channel and witness some more bizarre stories and who better to present it than Bruce Campbell himself. And that's not all. We now have a new promo for the much-awaited TV show and it looks absolutely awesome. As reported by Bloody Disgusting

 



 

 

“Shooting this iconic series in Ripley’s warehouse was actually unbelievable,” Campbell said. “I was blown away by the treasures that unveil a fascinating time capsule into the past and present. Fans are not going to be disappointed when they see the scope of wonderful and weird stories we reveal every week.”

The show will be shot at Ripley’s Warehouse in Orlando, Florida. And Campbell will be finally introducing the young generation to the world of astonishing and one-of-a-kind stories.

Now you must be wondering what is so special about this reboot apart from host Bruce Campbell. Well, let's say, it's been over a century since the iconic phrase "Believe it or not!" has come into being. Yes, the brand is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and it is just a mere testament to how long it has entertained viewers over the years.

Although most people would associate Ripley's Believe it or not with a TV show but did you know it was actually a newspaper panel? Yes, it became such a hit eventually, it spawned into various mediums including radio, television, comic books, a chain of museums, and a book series with the first show being aired in the 1940s. Now that is pretty cool, isn't it?

If you are an old school fan of the iconic show, you would know how we witnessed so many new hosts as time went by. Doug Storer, Robert St. John, Jack Palance, Catherine Shirriff, Holly Palance, Marie Osmond have all been a part of the show but what really struck with the audience was Dean Cain's version of Believe it or Not as it still remains the most watched of the lot.

It aired from 2000 to 2003 on TBS and according to Sony Pictures, the show "premiered as the highest-rated original series on cable."
