A 'Nightmare Before Christmas' Themed Halloween Bash Is Coming To Disneyland And It Looks Incredible

Move over Mickey's Halloween party, Disneyland is now upping its horror game and hosting a Nightmare Before Christmas themed event called Oogie Boogie Bash.

Fans of Tim Burton and Halloween, the best possible event for you to attend is finally here! Ditching the usual Mickey's Halloween party, Disneyland is upping its horror game up and bringing together a Halloween event called Oogie Boogie bash, based on iconic holiday movie The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The spooky event inspired by Tim Burton's works is open to all ages so if you and your family are looking to have a good time this Halloween, Disneyland is the place to go!

Coming this September to Disney California, the all-new Halloween event will feature more entertainment and fun than Mickey's, which will be still running, but on a different location.

There's going to be a lot of themed goodness, more than your spooky heart can handle. According to Insider, in addition to the festivities, costume party, and other themed attraction, the bash will also offer a number of super cool Nightmare Before Christmas Halloween candies.

The Oogie Boogie Bash event will kick off on 6th of September and carry on till October 31st and the separate ticket event will include a number of new and old attractions, including - "Villainous!” – The new “World of Color” show weaves a Halloween tale about a young girl named Shelley Marie. This twisted tale carries Shelley on an unforgettable journey, exploring the villainous side of Disney characters through fountains, lights, lasers, projections and special effects. “Villainous!” shows that, deep down, there’s a little villain in all of us," revealed Disney.



Disneyland will be dressed in the spirit of Halloween, creating a dreamlike environment for Halloween enthusiasts, "Transformed into a wondrous and ethereal world of Disney villains unlike anything seen before, Redwood Creek will be tricked out in a dreamlike environment. This new experience unfolds in a series of scenes, each creating a hauntingly beautiful dream-space of color, sound, light and shadows, as stories emerge from the darkest night to create an enchanting world."



And, there's trick o treating, too, of course. "Enjoy trick-or-treating at the new, wonderfully wicked treat trails throughout the park. Iconic characters such as Mad Hatter from Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, or even Oogie Boogie himself will surprise and delight. Additional treat trails will feature oversized cauldrons full of treats for all guests to enjoy." Okay, Disney, you had me at Mad Hatter. Just shut up and take my money!

'The guest-favorite parade is coming to Disney California Adventure park for the first time! The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow starts the procession, followed by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse who lead the cavalcade of characters and many mischievous Disney villains who are ready to stir up some trouble along the parade route.'

There's something special for the young ones as well. They can go ahead and have their own Halloween party with Mickey Mouse.
