Nightmare Before Christmas Is Reportedly Getting A Sequel And Chris Sarandon Is Up For It

Chris Sarandon, the voice behind our beloved Jack Skellington, has revealed that he would love to play the iconic role again.

Directed by Henry Selick, The Nightmare Before Christmas is a classic that simply never gets old, no matter how many times you watch it. Even though it wasn't such a huge hit back in 1993, over the years, the popularity of this Tim Burton gem has spread like fire. The festive movie now has a cult following of millions which is why a sequel is reportedly in talks.

I mean, who does not wish to see the pumpkin king once again? Chris Sarandon for starters is all for the idea. In a recent interview with ComicBook, the original voice actor behind Jack Skellington opened up and revealed that he would be more than happy to resume his iconic role and continue the legacy of the Tim Burton movie.

"I'd crawl on my hands and knees, from the east coast to the west coast, in the spring or the fall, to do it again," Sarandon said talking about the sequel. "Of course I would. I love that character and I love that I'm part of a legacy of that character as well." Do you think a Nightmare Before Christmas sequel is a good idea? Disney is reportedly thinking about it.

Disney is now eyeing Nightmare Before Christmas and is planning to 'do something' with it. According to Bloody Disgusting, the studio is planning to make a sequel of the iconic movie which might be a live-action feature film.

Disney is in talks currently to figure out what they can do with the old movie. Well, for starters, they can leave the classic movie alone. Or, a Tim Burton style sequel doesn't sound bad either. Live-action? Um...

One of the best things about Tim Burton movies is the beautifully crafted characters! You can't help but fall in love with Jack Skellington and Sally or any other character of Burton's movies.

There's a very high chance that if the movie is adapted into a live-action along with some guy who is NOT Johnny Depp, the movie will lose its charm. Nightmare Before Christmas is a holiday treasure which we must protect at all costs.

A NORMAL sequel, however, was first said to be in the making when Disney talked about it in 2001! But, Tim Burton asked them to drop the idea. "I was always very protective of Nightmare not to do sequels or things of that kind," Burton explained.

"You know, 'Jack visits Thanksgiving world' or other kinds of things just because I felt the movie had a purity to it and the people that like it… Because it's a mass-market kind of thing, it was important to kind of keep that purity of it." Would you like to see Nightmare Before Christmas 2?
