This Stunning 'Grinchmas' Tree Is So Realistic, Many Think It's Too Scary For Christmas Decor

“Very clever but I couldn’t sit in the room with that at night,” a social media user said after a mom decorated her Christmas tree with a life-sized Grinch.

Christmas is almost here and everybody is in a festive mood. People are getting their trees ready and decorating it, if they hadn't already put it up, that is.

But some are going all out with the Christmas tree decor. Like this UK mom, who was inspired by the classic Dr. Seuss story of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."

Aptly named the "Grinchmas Tree," it has a life-size Grinch, that looks like he's sitting on the Christmas tree with his legs draped around it, with his green face peering from the top. The tree is decorated like any other Christmas tree would be, with ornaments, tinsel, candy cane, lights, and even fake snow except there's a big Grinch, replacing the star, who is clutching onto the tree.

The Grinch is decked up in complete Santa attire, with the red coat, the Santa hat, and even red stockings and everything. He looks just about ready to steal Christmas, just like he does in the story.

The tree was posted on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook group with the caption, "My very own Grinchmas tree. May of took 3 hours but I'm in love. Thanks to my mum, I can't take all the credit." The post has since then been commented on 6,000 times and has more than 16,000 likes so far.

She went on to explain how she set-up the tree. She made the Grinch by stuffing a Grinch outfit she bought on eBay. She then added a Grinch mask and a Santa hat to create the head. To finish off the look, she used Santa hats for the feet as well.

She purchased the rest of the decorations from Argos and Amazon and revealed that it took three hours to complete. This became an instant hit on the Facebook group where a lot of people praised the tree, with one crowning it the 'best Christmas tree ever' while some found it outright terrifying like one user who commented, "Not gonna lie, this is terrifying. I'd be walking into my living room and jumping out of my skin every morning," as reported by Mirror.
