Man Brings Llama Dressed In Tuxedo To Sister's Wedding And Her Reaction Is Priceless

Shocky the Llama was a guest at the wedding and even posed for pictures with other guests before it was returned to a farm outside Cleveland.

We've seen some really strange and bizarre things happen on wedding days. There have been cases of crazy partying following the ceremony and even some memorable dances and whatnot before the ceremony, but none of them quite compares to bringing a Llama to a wedding. Well, you definitely heard that right as Mendl Weinstock ended up doing just that for his sister, Riva.

"My sister was talking about her wedding as if it were tomorrow when she wasn't even dating anyone at the time," he told Insider. "Just to make her mad and get a reaction, I told her if she makes me come to the wedding, I am bringing a llama with me. After a few minutes of arguing, she tried to use reverse psychology on me and said, 'OK, the llama is invited to the wedding.'"

Five years later, when she was going to get married, Mendl made sure she did not forget about that special invitation. "He has been torturing me with this, in good fun, and has been reminding me of this probably twice a week for the last five years," Riva said. "I have tried striking so many deals, I have tried doing literally everything possible to make sure it didn't happen, and lo and behold, there was a llama at my wedding."

Mendl's sister Riva had got engaged in October and he decided to put his plan to action. "When he sets his mind to something, he makes it happen," she said. "Literally, I called him to tell him I was engaged, and his response was, 'Great, I'm calling the llama farm now.' Probably not even an hour later, I got a text that said his llama rental was confirmed."

The grand day of the ceremony arrived in Cleveland on Sunday as family and friends bore witness to Riva's wedding, and a giant Llama standing beside them. Yes, true to Mendl's promise, Shocky the Llama joined the humans during the unforgettable occasion. And if that wasn't enough, Mendl made sure that the animal was aptly dressed for the ceremony too, donning a custom-sized tuxedo for the big day. A Llama in a Tuxedo! Now that's the stuff of memes.

Surely Riva knew that it was all for the best and figured that it would only add to her special day. She made a deal with her brother to make the Llama as unobtrusive as possible! "I promised him that I would take one picture," she said. "I said, 'I will not stand next to the llama, I will not touch the llama, but I will take one picture.' My friends can attest that I went outside, I took exactly one picture, and then I went right back inside and was not having any more of it."

But the photo they took was far greater than anyone could have imagined. When they posted it on Reddit, it received over 167,000 upvotes. "I think it's my facial expression, because I really don't look particularly thrilled with the situation, but I think that's what got people's attention," she said. "That was my face from the moment I walked outside, and it was completely intentional. That's pretty much my face constantly when I look at my brother." Shocky the Llama stayed at the wedding for a half an hour more and posed for pictures with other guests before it was returned to its farm outside Cleveland.
