And now, suddenly we feel like watching Coco all over again.
When Coco released in 2017, it was a massive hit. Grossing more than $800 million in the box office, the movie became an instant favorite and its only natural that people haven’t gotten over Miguel Rivera and his family. A doting mother, Noraelia Rodriguez, dressed her 5-year-old daughter Khloe just like Mama Coco and it didn't even take a day for the internet to fall in love with the photos.
Rodriguez clicked a few pictures of her daughter and sent them to her son Alejandro, who was a marine stationed at Camp Pendleton. After he shared the images on Twitter, they quickly went viral. In an interview with TODAY, Rodriguez said, "We’re just happy she brought a lot of joy to everyone. We were not expecting it would go viral like this. It is just unreal.”
Her boss had recently passed away after a four-year battle with cancer and she was processing a lot of grief. In order to distract herself, she thought about taking up exercising. While reaching for the hair tie, her hand grazed a bottle of grey hairspray and she immediately knew what to do. She said, "Mama Coco came to mind. I did it for fun. It took me out of that depression state that I was in.”

Rodriguez took about 12 minutes to transform her daughter from a 5-year-old into the great-grandma that we loved and adored so much on screen. But the fun wasn't over yet. Later on, Rodriguez decided to reenact a scene from the movie so she dressed up as Miguel’s grandmother and her younger brother dressed up as a mariachi. They reenacted the scene where Miguel’s grandmother scolds a mariachi with a chancleta for luring the boy into playing music.

Rodriguez said, "Khloe didn’t want to take it off. She wanted to sleep with it on." This family loves dressing up and they love wearing group costumes. Once during Halloween, Khloe was Belle, her brother was the beast and Rodriguez was Lumiere. She said, "I love Halloween and just dressing up with the kids."
