Our beloved Kristin Chenoweth is said to be headlining this 2019's marquee production, the Hallmark Hall of Fame film 'A Christmas Love Story.'
Thank you, Hallmark. Thank you for announcing those record-breaking 40 Christmas movies this year. And also for bringing the Christmas cheers sooner than we thought. And fans, if you believed it can't get any better than this, wait till you hear what's coming next.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, details about a dozen Hallmark movies are out now and we cannot possibly contain our excitement. And the best information of the lot? Well, our beloved Kristin Chenoweth is said to be headlining this 2019's marquee production, the Hallmark Hall of Fame film 'A Christmas Love Story' and we can't keep calm!
Along with her, you can also get to watch Scott Wolf, Kevin Quinn and Keith Robinson weave their magic in the much-awaited Christmas movie. 'A Christmas Love Story' is directed by Eric Close and it focuses on the character of a New York City youth choir director Katherine (played by Chenoweth). She needs to write the title song for the Christmas Eve show. However, it takes a toll when (Quinn) joins her choir, distracting her from the work.
“Each year our holiday movie slates get bigger, the movies get better, and the ratings grow stronger, and I have no doubt that this will prove to be the most successful season yet,” Michelle Vicary, executive VP programming and publicity at Hallmark told THR.
“We are so fortunate to work with such incredible talent — from the actors to the writers, to the directors and producers — who bring our signature holiday movies to life and have been instrumental in establishing Crown Media as the leader in compelling, top-quality holiday entertainment,” she added.
To celebrate the channel's 10th anniversary, Hallmark has got more movies lined up this year than ever before. The channel will air 24 movies on the Hallmark Channel while 16 of them will debut on Hallmark's sister network, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
And that's not all. Our favorite channel is now heading to Dollywood and honestly, it was about time we got a glimpse of legendary singer Dolly Parton in a Hallmark movie. Well, Parton will be making a special appearance in 'Christmas At Dollywood', which will be releasing in December as part of Countdown to Christmas. The movie marathon starts on October 25 and you can watch it till New Year's Day.
Co-star Danica Mckeller also can't wait to see what Dolly Parton brings to the film. "I grew up watching Dolly Parton on TV. I love her. She is everything. I got to meet her -- she is charismatic and gorgeous and lovely, and she's the best person ever," McKellar told ET's Katie Krause on the sets of Home & Family, claiming that there will be "a lot of really fun Dolly surprises." "I'm so excited that I get to work with her." As reported by Entertainment Online.
And not just her, Michelle Vicary, Executive VP of Programming and Publicity at Crown Media Family Networks, also heaped praises on the talented singer. "Dolly Parton is a bright light who is rich in spirit, kindness, and love. Christmas at Dollywood features Danica McKellar in a story about finding love and new beginnings in the most familiar place: home. A holiday movie set in a winter wonderland like Dollywood exemplifies the quality of the talent, storytelling, and filmmaking that has made Countdown to Christmas the No. 1 program event on television for 10 years.”
