The queen has done it AGAIN! Jessica Lange has been nominated for her fourth Primetime Emmy Award and we are rooting for her!
If there's something all American Horror Story fans can agree upon, it is the fact Jessica Lange was the soul of the show and ever since she left, AHS hasn't been the same.
Constance Langdon in Murder House, Sister Jude in Asylum, Fiona Goode in Coven, Elsa Mars in Freak Show and Constance again in Apocalypse, each role the 70-year-old American actress has played, she has left her mark and leaving us wanting for more.
Due to other commitments, the supreme left the show after Freak Show but made a powerful cameo in American Horror Story season 8 as the sassy Constance Langdon and the antichrist's grandma.
Honestly, her returning to the show was one of the only good things which made Apocalypse watchable and looks like us fans aren't the only ones Jessica impressed, the critics are in love with her, too.
The Emmy nominations for 2019 are here and our queen has been nominated in the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series category! She'll be competing against Carice van Houten from Game of Thrones, Cherry Jones from The Handmaid’s Tale, Cicely Tyson from How to Get Away With Murder, Laverne Cox from Orange is the New Black, and Phylicia Rashad of This is Us. May the worthy one win! You can check the whole list of nominations here.
So far, Lange has had a colorful career and has bagged multiple prestigious awards and nominations. She has won TWO Academy Awards, THREE Primetime Emmys, FIVE Golden Globe Awards, one Tony Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award as well.
Like we said, a QUEEN. She is also the second actress in the world to win an Academy Award for Best Actress after winning one for the Best Supporting Actress. In 2014, it was announced that she will receive a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame but she hasn't claimed it yet.
We personally are rooting for Lange to win this Emmy, all the Emmys, and all the awards in the world in the future. We also DESPERATELY wish for her return but that seems unlikely. Ryan Murphy has announced the official cast for the upcoming season 9 of American Horror Story and instead of adding Lange, the slasher season is taking more of our favorites away from us...
Ryan Murphy, the man behind the longest and most successful horror show on FX, took to Instagram to post a series of teasers, revealing the actors we will be seeing in the upcoming season and well, even though we see familiar faces, it doesn't include the series regulars.
In the teaser, Emma Roberts, Cody Fern, Billie Lourde, Matthew Morrison, Angelica Ross, Gus Kenworthy, Leslie Grossman, Zach Villa, and DeRon Horton are coming together for AHS: 1984, without Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, and Lily Rabe.
Will you be checking out the 9th season? Watch American Horror Story: 1984 on FX this September 18th.
