Jessica Alba Donates 3 Million Diapers To Help Parents In Need Amid Ongoing Crisis

The Hollywood star and mother-of-three recently announced a massive donation of baby supplies on Instagram and pledged a whopping 3 million diapers, along with baby supplies.

Amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Jessica Alba is doing her part to help people in any way she can. The actress has raised three children of her own and she is quite familiar with how difficult things can get for a parent when cities are going into total lockdown and the supplies fall short. The actress recently announced a massive donation of baby supplies via her Instagram account where she pledged a whopping 3 million diapers, along with many other baby supplies.

The 38-year-old actress made the announcement along with an adorable photo of herself with her two-year-old son Hayes sitting on her lap and sucking on a bottle. She wrote, "Snuggling with my littles feeling grateful and emotional as we’ve been adjusting to this new normal -I can’t help but think of all the families with babies & young children who aren’t getting what they need to get by. My company @honest pledged today to donate 3M diapers 20k personal care products and 30k wipes to @baby2baby -but the need for these families includes so much more... #staysafe #practicekindness #sendinglove to you all ."

Baby2Baby provides diapers clothing and other basic necessities for children living in poverty. The charity organization is now urging people to provide "diapers, wipes, blankets, hygiene products, school supplies and more” to homeless shelters, health clinics and head start centers. On March 11, the organization announced that because of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, they have "received requests for soap, cleaning supplies and other basic essentials from our partners across the country." In a later post, the organization announced that it had "distributed over 1 million items including diapers, formula, hygiene, and blankets."

Back in 2011, Alba founded The Honest Company that sells household products that are sustainable and free of harsh chemicals. In a 2018 interview with InStyle, the actress said that 'I feel like my purpose in life was to create Honest and everything led me to that.' Later on, her company went ahead to launch a recurring subscription service for diapers that attracted a lot of negative press attention after multiple customers complained that they were being signed up for the service without even realizing it.

According to many others, they can make a subscription for diapers online but when canceling it, they have to do it over the phone, where usually, customers were being put on hold for a lengthy period of time. The actress is married to Cash Warren and shares her three children with him. Alba and Warren met on the sets of Fantastic Four and started dating soon enough. They got married four years later in 2008.
