After 27 years, witness the terrors of Derry and the end of IT all in the first official trailer of 'IT Chapter Two'.
Just when we started to think that Warner Bros will actually have us wait for 27 years to release the sequel's trailer, IT has been released! The first official trailer of the most anticipated horror movie of the year based on the works of Stephen King is here and boy, was it worth the wait. It's been twenty-seven years and the Losers Club is back in Derry, Maine, one place where they were not supposed to be. All grown up, the team will be taking on Pennywise, the dancing clown, once again to set things straight forever. But, will they succeed? Keep floating and you'll find out.
The trailer opens up with adult Beverly Marsh aka Jessica Chastain returning to her childhood home, only to find a granny living there who asks her to come in. Bev looks around as she talks to the old woman, reminiscing about the past and everything sails smooth until she spots bugs flying around the house and the old lady says, "No one who dies here ever really dies..." and we see a close of her body covered in wounds. *dials 911*
We find out that the old woman was actually Pennywise in disguise as when Bev starts to freak out, he asks her if she's 'still his little girl' and if you watched the first movie, you know from where that is coming from. The trailer then shifts focus and we see the Losers Club together, Bill and Bev sharing a kiss and saving the best for last, we finally get a glimpse of Bill Skarsgard dressed as the creepy clown who stares at you and says "Hi!"
That's it. Now we gotta sit and wait for September 6th to arrive. The 2017 movie based on Stephen King's work was a major success and the movie managed to earn a humongous amount of $700.4 million across the globe, not only became one of the highest grossing movies of the year, it became the best performing horror movie of all time, which explains the hype around the sequel. But, will the sequel be scarier? According to director Andy Muschietti, fans should bring 'adult diapers' to theatres...wow.
Clowns are terrifying by default but no one comes close to Pennywise. The dancing clown with a creepy smile and red balloons who comes back every 27 years to terrify children and feed on their flesh, is coming back once again but for the last time. The directors have revealed that the second chapter of the movie will be the last movie of the franchise and they will not drag it like how almost every successful franchise does.
In the movie, the child cast has been replaced by adult actors namely, James Mcvoy as Bill Denbrough, Jay Ryan as Hanscom, Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh, Bill Hader as Richie, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike Hanlon, Andy Bean as Stanley and James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak.
