Hallmark Is Hiring Amateur Bakers For New Christmas Cookie Countdown Series And You Could Win $25,000

Are you somebody who can bake a thing or two? If yes, Hallmark wants you to be a part of its latest show!

Looks like Hallmark is trying to keep the Christmas spirit alive throughout the year and bless us all with Christmassy treats! After announcing new movies for July and a Christmas movie marathon lined up for the month, everybody's favorite channel has now revealed that they are working on a new cooking segment - a Christmas Cookie Countdown series and instead of hiring actors, they want REAL people to participate in the show. Can you bake a thing or two?

If yes, you are good to go! Being in the show doesn't require Master Chef kind of skills, just knowing how to bake and loving cookies is enough. The show will run for five episodes on Hallmark Drama and feature “some of the most talented amateur home bakers around the country and the most exciting yuletide cookie challenges the holiday season has ever seen,” the channel revealed in a press release.

The competition series will be judged by renowned chefs and some of the familiar Hallmark faces. The shooting will begin from July 19 to August 1 in Los Angeles and if you love Hallmark, Christmas, and cookies, this is your time to shine!

'Do your friends and family tell you your Christmas cookies are the very best? Are people always asking you for your cookie recipes? Are you confident in your creative abilities in the kitchen? If you have a talent for baking and are ready to put your skills to the test, we'd love to hear from you!' reads the callout for real amateur bakers.

'We're looking for dynamic, outgoing cookie-makers from Southern California to participate in a really FUN new Christmas competition baking show! The challenges will be everything from visual and decorative, to taste and overall presentation! Follow the link and tell us why you deserve to partner up with some of your favorite Hallmark Television stars for a chance to win $25,000 in this fun and festive new competition series on the Hallmark Channel,' it adds.

Bakers of all ethnicities and sexes can apply for the Hallmark competition series here, you just have to be 18+ and be able to travel to LA for auditions and shooting, in case you don't live there.

“The ‘Christmas Cookie Countdown’ gives Hallmark Drama signature content that can’t be seen anywhere else,” Bill Abbott, President & CEO, Crown Media Family Networks, said in a news release. “This good-natured competition is a great addition to Crown Media’s tradition of celebrating the holidays on-air and we have every confidence it will resonate strongly with our viewers.”

Hallmark is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and giving back all the love they have received so far. The channel has announced that they will be airing not 10 or 20 but actually 40 all-new original Christmas movies this year!

According to EW, 24 of those originals will premiere on Hallmark Channel and the other 16 will debut on Hallmark's sister network, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and we CANNOT wait for it to be December already!
