Casting Call: You Can Now Star In Hallmark's Upcoming 'Christmas At Graceland' Sequel

Hallmark have announced a formal casting call and auditions for multiple speaking roles in their upcoming movie 'Christmas at Graceland 2' which is the series' 3rd film.

Hallmark's casting team has put out the call for actors, models, and talent to work on scenes for Hallmark’s upcoming Christmas at Graceland 2. Actual filming is reported to be scheduled between July 17th through August 8th in Memphis, Tennessee. The casting call, which was announced earlier this week, has several roles for minors that may be extremely providential to their careers. Among the requests in the call are female and male caucasian minor roles which roughly require about 30-50 lines and scenes. One of the conditions listed on several roles was that it would be preferable if the desired auditioner had a knack or at least an interest in singing.

Hallmark officials confirmed that Christmas at Graceland 2 will be the first film following Wedding at Graceland which reunited stars Kellie Pickler and Wes Brown as Laurel and Clay and the original Christmas at Graceland which brought together the former Memphis sweethearts who rekindled their burning romance.

Ryan Westheimer, the co-producer of the upcoming film was also behind the previous two Graceland Hallmark films. He said that the confirmed roster in the upcoming movie includes Adrian Grenier, the star of the hit HBO series Entourage, and Kaitlin Doubleday who starred in the Fox drama Empire.

The movie’s plot, as narrated by Westheimer, follows Doubleday’s character, who once worked at Graceland, as she searches for an art museum curation job. She interviews for an overseas position at the Brooks Museum of Art, and then a friend asks her to fill in as a Graceland tour guide. On that tour, she meets Grenier’s character, who asks her to nanny his three children. She accepts and stays at his guesthouse. And, because it's a Hallmark movie, Westheimer said, the pair falls in love and provide more pleasant surprises for the viewers.

According to reports, Westheimer said the film would be shot at both the Graceland mansion and the newly opened Graceland Exhibition Center. Production should wrap by Aug. 9, he said. The film is not a sequel to Wedding at Graceland. When asked if it would snow once again in Midtown Memphis this summer, as it did during production for the first Christmas at Graceland movie, Westheimer said, "It's going to snow everywhere."

Westheimer was scheduled to be honored by Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland and the Memphis City Council for his work producing the two previous Graceland movies. He said, "he's honored and appreciative of the recognition and extolled the virtues of Memphis and Memphians".  Westheimer also said that he's shot films all over the world, but there's something about Memphians and how they welcome out-of-towners with open arms.

"Hallmark came with an idea, and obviously it has blossomed into an extremely successful pairing and spectacular ratings," said Jack Soden, CEO of Elvis Presley Enterprises. Jack has been a Graceland supervisor and official since Elvis' mansion was opened to the public in 1982. "You take Hallmark's large and dedicated audience and you take the Elvis fan world, and you have a match made in heaven," he said.

To coordinate the new movie, Hallmark will retain production offices in Memphis from March through July and possibly into the early fall. Some shooting for the productions could take place on sets erected inside the 20,000-square-foot Graceland Soundstage, the relatively new performance venue that — as its name indicates — was designed in hopes that one day it could serve double duty as a film location.

The correct procedure to apply for the casting audition is to send your emails to [email protected] with the subject line 'CAG2 PRINCIPAL ROLE' where you specify which one, in particular, you are interested to apply for. Submissions are also informed to mandatorily include the child’s first & last name, parent’s first & last name, contact number, child’s age and date of birth, child’s height & weight, city/state you are located in and also be attached with 2 recent photos (1 headshot type and 1 full body standing) taken within the past 2 weeks.
