Perkins' upcoming film is a horrific retelling of one of the Brothers Grimm's spookiest stories
Osgood Perkins, the son of Psycho's Anthony Perkins, has become a promising director of quiet, chilling horror films like I Am The Pretty Thing That Lives In The House and The Blackcoat's Daughter. For his next major feature, he explores the twisted world of fairy tales with his adaption of the Hansel & Gretel story. Titled GRETEL & HANSEL, the early trailers have been terrifying. A new featurette has been released to get us ready for the nightmares to follow.
From the press release:
A long time ago in a distant fairytale countryside, a young girl (Sophia Lillis, It) leads her little brother (Sammy Leakey) into a dark wood in desperate search of food and work, only to stumble upon a nexus of terrifying evil.
The movie premieres nationwide January 31st.
