"This #TerrorDog will leave you possessed with fear! #SpiritHalloween #Ghostbusters." Spirit Halloween tweeted releasing the beast. The dog comes out on the occasion of Reitman's Ghostbusters celebrating its 35th birthday this year!
'Your favorite Ghostbusters character is alive! This life-size Terror Dog replica will make all of your guests stare in fear and give them a thrill as its eyes light up a glowing red. Once the beast is unleashed, we suggest you run while you can! It could be too late once this demonic dog has you in its grip!' reads the description of the dog. The large canine is made up of latex and foam and is about 59” L x 29” W x 30” H in size. You can buy it here.
And well, in case you don't already know, another Ghostbusters movie is in the works and many from the original cast will be in it! In a recent interview, Dan Aykroyd aka Ray Stantz opened up about the movie and spilled some beans. Revealing that the movie will be a continuation of the original ones, Dan added that it will also be scarier and modern in its approach. It will be different from the first two but in a better way. "But, will the old cast be back to resume their roles?" Apparently, yes.
“Ivan Reitman’s son Jason has written a beautiful script, I can’t say too much about it but it’s going to get made and hopefully there’ll be some familiar faces,” Aykroyd revealed. “It’s so different from even the first and second (film). This just takes it to a new generation and a new direction that is so warm, heartfelt and indeed, quite scary when you confront some of the issues that are being discussed.”
This comes only days after Bill Murray said that he will return to play his role if asked.
Our favorite Ghostbuster Peter Venkman aka Bill Murray is willing to reprise his role in the upcoming movie. “I did [the remake] and I would do this next one,” Murray told Indiewire. “This franchise paid for my son’s college. We made this thing. We are the caretakers of it. It’s a great thing and it was a really fun movie to make. It’s a real movie with some really funny stuff in it. They’re wonderful people." While these two were just teasing around, Sigourney Weaver confirmed everything.
In an interview with Parade, the 69-year-old actress admitted that she is resuming her role of Dana Barrett and is super thrilled to reunite with the old cast again, “It’s going to be crazy working with the guys again!” Jason Reitman has so far officially confirmed Mckenna Grace, Finn Wolfard, and Carrie Coon for the cast and says that it "is very early, and I want the film to unwrap like a present. We have a lot of wonderful surprises and new characters for the audience to meet."
Ghostbusters 3, which will discard the unnecessary reboot and continue the original storyline will be releasing on 20 July 2020.
