Remember the dark Disney classic 'Gargoyles'? It is being revived and coming to Disney's latest streaming service.
One of the best animated shows ever made, Disney's Gargoyles is coming back and landing on Disney's streaming site after ages. Aired from October 24, 1994, to February 15, 1997, the show featured medieval nocturnal creatures who come to life at night and step out to save the streets.
For a Disney show, the cartoon had a pretty dark tone and that's what makes it more lovable. The fan base of Gargoyles is still pretty strong which is why Disney has announced that it will be added to Disney+ collection, attracting all the 90s kids.
Other nostalgic shows which are coming to the service are DuckTales, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, TaleSpin, and Darkwing Duck, as reported by MarySue. And there's more! The Proud Family is coming back too with all-new episodes!
Actor Tommy Davidson, the voice of Oscar Proud, has revealed that the American sitcom is getting a revival after 14 years and gearing up to premiere on Disney's latest streaming site Disney +.
In an interview with Where Is The Buzz? the actor said the words we all have been waiting to hear. When asked about Proud Family, Tommy said the show is 'coming back' on Disney's streaming service and that too 'with new episodes.' Alright then, Disney, shut up and take my money.
Also, in case you don't already know, at the D23 Expo, Disney revealed that it would bring one of its biggest shows back with all-new episodes. A direct sequel to the show which entertained us from 2001 to 2004, the upcoming season will be set years after the original where instead of a teen Lizzie, we will get to meet a 30-year-old millennial struggling through her life and spending her days in New York City, as reported by Deadline.
The original Lizzie aka Hilary Duff is RETURNING to play the iconic role and the internet is legit freaking out. "JUST ANNOUNCED: A brand-new Lizzie McGuire series is headed to #DisneyPlus #D23Expo This is what dreams are made of! @HilaryDuff is here to announce she is starring as an “older, wiser” Lizzie in the new series!" Disney D23's official account tweeted revealing that Hilary is on board with the sequel.
Duff also spoke a few words on her returning to the channel, "It is so great to be home. The good news is just like me and everybody who loved her, Lizzie grew up. She’s older and wiser and has a much bigger shoe budget."
She also teased the show on her Instagram account by sharing a clip from the original Lizzie McGuire with 'This is What Dreams Are Made of' playing in the background. The nostalgia is REAL and Disney is doing its marketing right.
