Confirming the rumors, it has now been officially revealed that 'Gargoyles' is coming to Disney+.
90's kids, finally some good news for you. One of the GREATEST Disney shows ever, Gargoyles is coming back and the feeling of nostalgia is real! The dark cult classic which aired from October 24, 1994, to February 15, 1997 has been added to Disney's upcoming streaming service Disney+ and is coming sooner than we expected.
Rumors earlier claimed that the show will not be available to stream in some regions including North America but Disney has discarded them all.
Now, Gargoyles will be available to all viewers starting this 12th November, which is when Disney+ is officially launching.
In case you don't know, the animated show features medieval nocturnal creatures who come to life at night and step out to save the streets, which is not-so-Disney-like but incredibly cool!
The fan base of Gargoyles is still pretty strong which is why Disney has announced that it will be added to Disney+ collection, attracting all the old school kids.
In fact, they are already thinking about a reboot. "You know, those of us who were involved from the beginning... I've always wondered why they stopped it in the first place," Disney+'s Keith David told ComicBook.
"[We've wondered] why we haven't come back to a reboot. I mean, I would love nothing more than to revisit Goliath. You know, he was absolutely one of my very, very, very, very favorite characters. I've always maintained that when I grow up, I want to be like Goliath." Would you like to see a reboot? We are all UP for new episodes!
Other nostalgic shows which are coming to the service are DuckTales, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, TaleSpin, and Darkwing Duck, and there's more! The Proud Family is coming back too with all-new episodes!
Actor Tommy Davidson, the voice of Oscar Proud, has revealed that the American sitcom is getting a revival after 14 years and gearing up to the premiere on Disney's latest Disney +.
In an interview with Where Is The Buzz? the actor said the words we all have been waiting to hear. When asked about Proud Family, Tommy said the show is 'coming back' on Disney's streaming service and that too 'with new episodes.' Alright then, Disney, shut up and take my money.
Also, in case you don't already know, at the D23 Expo, Disney revealed that it would bring one of its biggest shows back with all-new episodes. A direct sequel to the show which entertained us from 2001 to 2004, the upcoming season will be set years after the original where instead of a teen Lizzie, we will get to meet a 30-year-old millennial struggling through her life and spending her days in New York City, as reported by Deadline.
Like we said, the time for 90s kids is finally here! Which show are you excited for the most?
