Father and Daughter Recreate Beetlejuice's 'Day-O' Dinner Scene In Incredible Video

You might think that the father-daughter duo might have gone with an easier scene, but, against all odds, they managed to portray it with utmost perfection.

Due to the pandemic, a lot of us are at home, spending most of our time indoors and this has led to a lot of people taking up projects they normally wouldn’t commit to. Well, there's no harm in trying something new, isn't it? That's why, especially during the pandemic, people are coming up with all kinds of new activities, hobbies, interests, and projects.

While some of us are polishing our culinary skills, others are taking up side projects related to their career. We have already come across a plethora of Youtube channels where people are teaching languages, paintings, and individuals all around the world are getting more creative.

Gelsey Laurie, a performance artist did not really have too many followers on her YouTube channel. But, it looks like things will soon change for her after people saw her father and herself recreating the classic dinner scene from Tim Burton's classic, Beetlejuice. In a YouTube video uploaded by Laurie, the artist is seen playing Catherine O’Hara’s character Delia Deetz and her father takes on all the male roles, including Charles, which was originally played by the late Jeffrey Jones.

The recreated dinner scene is a pretty important one in the movie because Barbara and Adam Maitland, a recently deceased couple, are trying to scare away the present owners of the house as they did not want anyone else staying there. The house was owned by the deceased couple before their death. They started some poltergeist activity to drive away the guests and play the Banana Boat Song by Harry Belafonte.

You might think that the father-daughter duo might have gone with an easier scene than this, because if you have seen the movie, you know it is not an easy one to recreate, especially if only two people are present. But, against all odds, they managed to portray it with utmost perfection. What we can say for sure that it will definitely leave a smile on your face.

One person who watched the video wrote, "Almost criminal this hasn't exploded onto the front page instead of the umpteenth shopping/makeup/product video. Some real, top-notch, old-school youtube here." A second one added, "Ok the daughter is going to be a star one day, but also can we talk about what a silver fox dad is?!" A third one quipped, "OMG...you just made my quarantine absolutely perfect. WELL DONE!! Catherine O'Hara needs to see this...if she hasn't already. Definitely shared on her fan page. ;)"
