How many have you spotted?
If you are a little bit wary about jump scares but still can't go through Halloween season without subjecting yourself to the much-needed horror, then The Haunting of Bly Manor is just the show for you. Mike Flanagan’s follow-up to The Haunting of Hill House dropped on Netflix on October 9. It tells the story of an American au pair who takes up a job as a caretaker for two kids at a mansion in the English countryside. But things are not as simple as it sounds. There is more to Bly Manor than just spooky children.
The series is an adaptation of Henry James’ The Turn of the Screw and Flanagan's penchant for hiding the supernatural in plain sight has proven to reproduce the novella's spooky setting in a brilliant way. The beginning of every episode instigated a thrilling game of “coat rack or ghoul”. And if you are a keen viewer, you would have definitely noticed quite a few blurry figures and ominous shapes popping throughout the series. There are ghosts haunting the grounds who are stuck in purgatory. Some of them are easy to spot like the lady from the lake, but others, not so much. Before the series dropped, Flanagan teased that there will be more hidden ghosts this time, compared to The Haunting of Hill House, and he has truly delivered. Here are all the hidden ghosts we have spotted in The Haunting of Bly Manor.
