People Are Now Taking Selfies With Cockroaches On Their Face In A Viral Challenge!

The challenge is now trending all across social media platforms as more and more people are sharing their selfies.

This, THIS is exactly why we can't have nice things.

In the latest internet challenge which is now going viral, people are somehow taking pictures with cockroaches crawling on their face and proudly sharing them on their social media accounts, tagging their friends to join in the madness. Okay, in the last few years, we have witnessed some serious 'what the f**k' internet trends but this is just plain crazy and disgusting on so MANY levels. WHY would you do THAT? Funny thing is, while we're thinking about that, there are people legit running around their house right now, hunting for cockroaches.

Started by a Facebook user Alex Aung from Myanmar, the teenage boy shared a snap of himself with his little friend sitting on his EYE and challenged his friends to do the same. And, of course, anything with 'challenge' behind it easily goes viral these days as mindless teens and even adults try to attempt it just for the sake of fitting in a trend. How about a read your books challenge? Go to college challenge? Don't be a sheep in the heard challenge? No? Okay...

Some people are in fact taking the challenge to the next level and sharing pictures of them with a LIVE cockroach inside their mouths...I get that some people believe cockroaches are nutritious and all but that is just gross. Do you wanna join in the Cockroach selfie challenge? Dig around a dumpster until you find a cockroach, place it on your cheek and hurry up and click a picture before it flies away. We need a new plague.

This trend comes after the viral 'throw a slice of cheese on your baby's face' challenge because why not? Started by a Twitter user who claimed that he 'cheesed his lil brother', parents around the globe chimed in and started uploading videos and pictures of them slapping their babies with slices of cheese. In fact, the ones who didn't have babies also participated by throwing cheese at their significant others and even pets.

There's a new bizarre challenge on the internet every month and for some reason, people love attempting them no matter how dangerous they are. Kiki challenge, Momo challenge, Bird Box challenge, the list goes on. The Bird-Box challenge had people drive and carry out their daily lives with literal BLINDFOLDS ON and so many accidents were reported that Netflix itself had to chime in and call out people on their madness.

β€œCan’t believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE,” tweeted Netflix. "We don’t know how this started, and we appreciate the love, but Boy and Girl have just one wish for 2019 and it is that you not end up in the hospital due to memes." But people being people ignored the warning and continued with their challenges to prove I am not sure what. Are internet challenges a way of natural selection? Darwin is laughing in his grave.
