Although it is only six-episode, it is more than enough to take us back on a nostalgic trip to the 90s. And we will finally get to see the gang reuniting for the first time on screen.
Ever since fans got to know that 'Beverly Hills 90210' was getting a reboot, their happiness knew no bounds! It was always on the cards but the quasi-revival series finally took shape only this year. And this comes as no surprise considering how fans have been eagerly waiting for the show to hit the television screens for more than a decade.
There is a new update now. A major update that has us super excited! Fox has just released a new trailer for its Beverly Hills, 90210 revival BH90210 and we can see the returning stars Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling and Gabrielle Carteris all going through their morning routines. As reported by People.
However, soon after this, the stars can hear a familiar rhythm of the 90210 theme song. From an alarm clock going off and coffee dripping to a dog barking and a car starting, they are listening to the iconic 90s tune.
The official synopsis of the series reads: “Having gone their separate ways since the original series ended 19 years ago, Shannen, Jason, Jennie, Ian, Gabrielle, Brian, and Tori reunite when one of them suggests it’s time to get a Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot up and running. But getting it going may make for an even more delicious soap than the reboot itself."
"What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast — whom the whole world watched grow up together — attempts to continue from where they left off?”
Although it is only six-episode, it is more than enough to take us back on a nostalgic trip to the 90s. And we will finally get to see the gang reuniting for the first time on screen. And when the first pictures of Gabrielle Carteris, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Brian Austin Green, Jason Priestley, Tori Spelling, and Ian Ziering hit the social media, fans have realized how much they missed them, especially Luke Perry.
The upcoming series will be without Luke Perry after the veteran actor passed away at the age of 52, suffering a stroke. He was last seen in an episode of Riverdale and his final shot had moved many to tears.
“It’s about the characters behind the characters,” Garth told Entertainment Weekly exclusively. “It’s inside the lives of people that lived in those shoes for those 10 years, and it’s about them coming back together.”
Priestley added that the teaser trailer is akin to a homecoming. “Since all of us had been at one of those gallery shoots together, it had been 25 years, so it was really kind of special. We all had a lot of fun that day, there was a lot of joking around. They had a hard time getting us to actually focus and do anything because we were all messing around so much.”
Now we can't wait to see what is in store this time for us, but one thing is certain -- the wave of nostalgia is definitely going to hit us hard and that is absolutely fine because THE GANG is finally returning! Watch the new teaser trailer here:
